Actually, a big part of turning the tide in wwii was putting women to work, a decidedly socialist action. And if it weren't for the socialistic financing (taxation) of a space program, we would not have put a man on the moon even by today.

But more importantly, why do countries more socialistic than our own still manage to outperform us in so many measures of human well being?

Not really, humans are creatures of habit and they will do the devil they know thing.

Unless the GOP can field a compelling candidate who can spar with Obama on his ground, which behind a podium, then they are screwed.

I have always said Romney was the man. But if the GOP brand him as a RINO,then they have no one. Trump will not get it done, once the MSM really turns it up on him.

Obama's hatred for the Job Creators is intense. If the rich won't hire during his regime he will simply tax the money out of them and hand it to his leftist buddies. Of course, that won't create any jobs but it will improve his poll numbers with the marxists and communists who elected him in 2008.
