Preparing for Trump's Indictment

WTF has your darling Trump been doing all these years before the grownups took his toy away from him? Trump devotees don't get to ask that kind of question.

You are not familiar with the American system of justice.

Trump was/is a politician and is allowed and expected to be out working issues with the crowds and on various media as they wish.

But a sitting State Attorney General working and bloviating on a active case on twitter? NOPE.
Most likely when and if she gets into court- even if on just preliminary motions- the judge will give her a quick refresher course.

Edit, once again El Concho made my point right as I posted. I am going to just let him be me today.

What is bothersome about this is that so much energy is being expended to get one man while the city and state of New York completely falls apart due to the violent crime surge.

We hope the truth comes out. Anyone committing a crime should be punished. Anyone who has not committed a crime should not be punished. Let's let this play out.

Lets let this play out also....

AG says there is enough evidence to charge fake Trump electors

Attorney General Dana Nessel says there is “absolutely” enough election fraud evidence to charge the 16 false electors who attempted to submit a 2020 Electoral College certificate for former President Donald Trump in December 2020.

During a press conference Tuesday, Nessel said she is committed to holding the slate of Republicans accountable if the federal government doesn’t intervene.

I think this was a campaign promise----Kind of a weird thing to run on when it's not safe to visit NY right now due to unchecked violent crime.

Eh, depends on the tone. I see it no different then a press conference.

Let me put it this way....

The AG BELIEVE they have evidence of illegal wrong doings after reviewing whatever financial statements they were able to get their hands on. The evidence is not clear or conclusive by any means otherwise it would be self representative.

The AG therefore needs to subpeana Dotard and Dotard Jr. to try and get them in to get actual evidence a la fishing.... happens almost all the time.

The twitter was simply a political move to announce to its constituents that it has some magic evidence and it relies on Dotards coming in to testify...if you have illegal info on financial statements that is almost always enough to push forth subpeonas without making press conferences.

I would have more respect for the process and the person if they simply handed down indictments or subpeonas....

"It appears to be solid evidence" is not how the law works as solid evidence either exists or it doesn't AND we have not seen any of the evidence, just taking the AG's tweet's word for it. As a prosecutor, if you have solid evidence you present it and can get an indictment almost immediately.

If trump did the shit he is accused of he should be charged and prosecuted but to have twitter posts bragging about some magic evidence that never appears.... I would bet it goes nowhere and then what happens to the AG's tweet?

It should be a violation of the code of ethics for an AG to post opinions about a case in the public that will then be decided by a grand jury at some point which includes the public. Those tweets can hurt the case.

It makes no sense for an AG to make such tweets even if trumptard always used twitter for stupidity. An AG is talking about a criminal investigation that has not produced any evidence yet.

let me tell you one thing I will bank my life savings on..... whatever trump did illegally is buried under high priced accountant produced financial statements that will lead to no where.
Well, as others have said before me, let's see how it plays out. Apart from the courts, the AG obviously wants the the support of public opinion. She is fighting Trump on his own turf. Fuck sportsmanship when you're dealing with a Trump.

Trump was an elected official. The AG is an elected official. Can you spot the difference? I can't spot the difference.

Trump lived for media attention. Well, here it is.

Sure----let's let it play out. I am eager to see the result.
