From my understanding the Dems are going to send Obama down to GA in order to galvanize the black vote and try to keep Biden looking presidential/above the fray. Trump might go only, because it's in his interest to do so. If he wants to run again in 2024 it would help him. A lower turnout election typically favors GOP candidates. Not sure Dems will be as motivated to go to the polls now that Biden has won. Similarly, I don't know how motivated the Republican base will be after their presidential defeat. The midterms usually favor the opposite party from the president, but I don't remember the last runoff election in a presidential year.

I'm worried that if the Dems take the Senate all they're going to be able to do is raise taxes through a budget reconciliation. They will not have the ability to pass legislation around major issues without 60 votes as many Dems are against ending the filibuster. They're not going to be able to pass anything meaningful. I'm hopeful if they don't raise taxes they don't lift the cap on Social Security. That's a major rate increase.
