Then followed by the European market.

Come US session, US market might continue to go down,
reverse direction and go up,
or don't move at all
or various combinations of the above.

Unless you are a senior citizen or need to cash to live, how will it all end hardly matters. You just have to manage risk at all times and don't be afraid to buy stuff when it's cheap and nobody wants it.
