% ppl who earn >$1 million cumulative from trading over a lifetime?

I think treeman and dozu are different people. You quoted them together on post #29 too.

they are different people

i said they use the same tactic every one is supposed to shutter at the 100k i was scared, believe me I was he wants to bet so i told him to post a picture of 100k somewhere and I will do the same all I get is more crap and no picture I can pull up a statement right now and have it posted in 10 minutes.

all talk and zero action keep repeating the same thing he's already lied once can I ask to have him show some evidence of a 100k liquid? Is that unreasonable?

Even if he had the money, which is not a lot by any means, he said he dropped his phd program and got an MS I copied his words by exporting the thread. Why did he delete it all? .

doesn't make sense to respond any longer until he posts a evidence of 100K. then we can move forward. Maybe a post of his PHD degree would help? what do you think?

BTW I live for fibonnaci retracement. Studied exclusively for my MBA exit. Amazing stuff.

forget evidence.... I will contact an escrow agent tomorrow.. and we both send him our official IDs to get the ball rolling... game or not?

$100k not a lot? you name a price, I am game.

btw, guys - at this point, if you can read who is shitting in his pants, congrats, you can also read price action.

No PHd program admits any one without a Master's. Someone post the proof that makes me wrong. I have a bachelors and I want to be admitted into a PHd program. My son goes to community college and in his second year. if he graduates he goes to 4 year college, sister colleges, guaranteed. he cannot say after his associates he has a bachelors. He can not say now he is a bachelors candidate this is what you guys are both trying to push. Post evidence about a college that admits you to a PHd program with a bachelor's? Post it or shut up.

Actually it's quite the opposite. Most PhD programs take candidates who has completed their BS/BA and now applying to the PhD program. It's NOT necessary to have a MS/MA before entering a PhD program. And having a masters does not necessarily increase your chance of admission either.

For those who can't tough through the PhD program, they graduate with what's called a terminal masters. It's quite common given the pass rate of PhD programs is unfortunately fairly low.

I'm not defending @treeman or @dozu888. I'm just saying that's how the doctoral program works(at least here in the U.S.).

And I'm in total agreement that higher education is very valuable especially in STEM fields! The kinds of doors and opportunities that are available to highly educated people are incredible. Provided you study the right thing and in a hot area. If you studied ancient medieval art history then maybe the prospects are not great..

Especially in areas of tech and finance. New grads in those areas can easily get $100K starting total comp(salary+bonus) with just a BS. And at certain tech companies(FANG) starting base can be as high as $125K for really good candidates(i.e. Stanford, MIT, Cal, CMU, etc.)

But even if you weren't in the best compsci schools, a BS in a STEM field nowdays can get $70-$80K right out of school easily.

In 10-15 years, most STEM will be in the $150-200K range. If they move into management even higher..

if you read the whole thread I reversed my position with treeman and said he was correct as per UCDavis.

The real issue was the lie that dodo888 got caught in. he erased the entries but not before I exported the thread. Just a liar that needs to be more truthful in my opinion.

Yes, a shame that both had free rides through the phd, if we can believe dodo, I believe treeman, and didn't finish. Smart guys and sometimes life takes over. Nothing to be ashamed about, an MS. I am proud of my MBA but I do not tell people I am a PHd because that is a lie. An unnecessary lie. Dodo tried to use that as a way to sway the debate.

He's a liar, end of story.

computer says this is a terminal degree When a degree is considered terminal, it means that it is the highest degree awarded in a given field. In most fields, the terminal-level degree is the doctor of philosophy, or PhD, but in some fields, it's a professional degree, such as a doctor of medicine or law degree. Does that match what you've told? This is a new term to me.

I used it in the context below. Most people don't consider a PhD to a be terminal degree. It's odd that that article you cite above uses that language.
If you don't mind me asking, what was your PhD in?

So in the context below, one of the poster(@treeman) has a terminal masters.

"While most degrees that are considered terminal are PhDs or doctorates, some master’s degrees are considered terminal if the field does not offer a degree beyond a master’s degree. For example, the Master of Fine Arts, or MFA, is considered terminal and is awarded to professionals in the art, film and music industries. A Master Landscape Architect, or MLArch, and a Master Architect, or MArch, are terminal master’s degrees, as these fields don’t offer PhD or doctorate degrees above the master’s level.

The word terminal is also sometimes used to describe master’s degrees when a student is denied a PhD by a university. Occasionally, a PhD student will fall behind in a PhD program and be given a terminal master’s degree by the university and then dropped from the program."

ok - I did a little research - this may be categorized as a 'friendly bet'...

any expert here? the best way to proceed, so we don't end up with a total waste of time?

99.9% chance TraderEX is already shitting in the pants and just trying to delay and drag on until he finds an exit.

I just want to make sure this is on the up and up and also enforceable.

and TraderEX my friend... quit now.... this will not end pretty for you.
