Power Supply Problem

I have a UPS (battery backup) thats about 3 years old now. It's a CyberPower 500SL.

When I turn the unit on it beeps at me three times and does this until I power it on and off 3 times. Do these things have batteries that need to be replaced? If so could this be my problem? Any idea where to purchase these batteries?

Yes. Be careful how you dispose of the battery. I use Tripp Lite and they help me replace and dispose of the old batteries.

So is this battery something I can change myself? What is trip lite (a brand)?

I have found eBay to be by far the cheapest place to by replacement batteries. Find out what the battery pack ID number is and type in eBay's search.

usually cost almost as much as a BRAND NEW UNIT, from my experience!

See if there is a Batteries Plus store in your area for cheap UPS batteries.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of ebay. I was able to find a replacement battery for my UPS dirt cheap....
