That's interesting.. I had a screen up on RealTick which kept showing SPY and QQQ trades pretty much continuously, with prices updating on ARCA and INSTINET.
 
simple arbitrage:

buy utility and backup power stocks, and sell retail stocks...

in the coming weeks, they will pass legislation giving utility stocks a big boost...

maybe a tax cut...
maybe just subsidizing...

it's a conspiracy.... a political play.

imo they should penalize the asses that let this happen.

yes, penalize them by levelling the playing field between Big Power and the consumer... i.e. incentivize fuel cell purchases.

i liek the thinking and hedging but why retail? retail just hit a 52 week high, and many retailers are hitting new highs, i would look for a different hedge if i were you

i love how they still don't know what the hell happened, BUT THEY DO KNOW IT WASN'T TERRORIST RELATED!

i'm not saying it is, but if they don't know what the cause was, how can they say it wasn't?!
