The US is far ahead of the rest of the world in terms of pulling out of Covid. The majority of the world is still living with massive outbreaks and an economy running at half speed. We are pumping right now and demanding up more supply than is available. As the rest of the world finds their way out inflation will tamper and then deflation will happen as demand for US currency strengthens the dollar.

Housing is deliberately left out of the calculation for inflation to keep COLA for social security adjusted down. On what planet is a 14% y/y rise in property values a good thing? How is that there is no place in the US where minimum wage will afford you even a shack to live in a good thing?
