Powell said the country will get to “an even better place” than it was before the coronavirus hit

He has no choice but to sound positive or the market will tank. The only thing we know for sure is there will be many trillions more in debt whether we bounce back or not, and many small businesses will not survive this crisis.

"You're FIRED!!!"

Is it only me? Does anyone find it surreal that Trump would use the same ploy he used on The Apprentice?

I wonder how many times he said that during his lifetime
and when is the first time he fired people

Powell in "60 minutes": The country will get to “an even better place” than it was before the coronavirus hit, and that it “won’t take that long.”

Is there any logic behind this, or it is really just trying to be positive ?

He is spot on. How many "intellectual traders" were spitting on Ben Bernanke and Janet Yellen? Geez, the rally from S&P 665 to 3400 wasn´t a lesson enough, it seems.

More short covering rallies to come.

On single reason only: there are not other "alternatives". Besides Gold that is ;=)

We might get to a "better place" in some areas, for example "community". The act of putting on a mask
might make a person realize that they are not only doing it for themselves, but for others also.

In times of crisis, people tend to come together, and this one is no different. It's just a longer process.

Anyway, one of the amazing things about this is that ten years from now, you'll be able to go anywhere in the world
(hopefully by then) and ask "How did you do during the virus?" It's a shared global experience, and one that does
not happen often.
