Posting MP4 files

Hi,

I tried to post a small video file on Fibonacci on my thread.
The upload was rejected for the file type. MP4
Please advice. Can I post a small video file and if so use extension other than MP4?

Post it on Youtube and then link to it. I see other posting lots of Youtube videos here...some actually embed the Youtube video in the message post.

Not sure but what I would like to post trades I make and the videos will be short most less than 10 mins. Not sure what this equates to in size as I am far from an expert. I will be using Snagit to create and save as MP4. Baron, please tell me the size limitations and I will comply. Do you accept MP4 format? Thanks for your excellent forum and your guidance on how to post MP4's. It seems that the participants on my thread are insisting that I post that way as otherwise, they may not follow -- even though I have posted charts. Thanks again for your reply.
 
A 10-minute video would be a huge file just to upload as an attachment. You will need to set up a free youtube account and then upload your video to youtube first. Then, whenever you need to add a video to your post, you just copy and paste the URL of the youtube page that the video is on right into the body of your post. After you submit that post, our system will recognize that there's a youtube link in it, and will do some magic on the backend to embed the video right into your post.
 
Great solution, Baron. Thanks. Hope I can figure out the youtube setup -- I am nowhere as much a techie as you but gonna give it a try. Appreciate your providing ET and your help to make me a better ET poster.
