I have never done this before and don't know how to do so. Could someone please identify the steps needed to post an image file from my hard drive?

you don't have to use that site specifically, but to use the tag you need the file to be somewhere with an [url]http://[/url] location. per [url]http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/misc.php?s=&action=bbcode[/url]
in fact, i assume that once you post an attachment to ET, you can use that http link and actually post the image within a post.
