i don't understand this 500 post limitation in search.
it is still difficult to find posts because search goes to incorrect pages.
 
The logic is that if you haven't found what you're looking for in the first 500 search results, then you probably need to come up with a better search term.
 
In terms of going to incorrect pages, it's probably because the search option that says "Show results as" should be set to posts, not threads. It was set as posts on the old site by default, but it's set as threads by default now. I'm going to change that right now though.
 
why if i click on a result it doesn't go exactly to that spot?
your instructions don't work.
