You missed my point. My point is seeing how the market moved today made me suspicious of the market manipulation games that the MM/wholesalers could be playing especially when they know all of the retail traders' positions under the payment for orderflow arrangement.

You're telling me....the 'market makers/wholesalers' Moved...the Entire broad market up, the SPX, just to poke at the retail traders who are short? You are paranoid,

If it go up up people like you blame the market makers. If it goes down you blame the market makers. Why wouldn't somebody who has a long position, not be happy by a spike to the upside to close their positions?
Prices fluctuate. Sometimes they are in a narrow range for a period of time till they break out of a range. That is the way market works. Furthermore they don't know your underlying positions. They have a book with orders at different price of levels..
On the contrary to being flat for 6 1/2 hours. The opening range experienced very bullish expansion and then based into the 20 EMA, triggering a long. It based for quite some time after but never took out the low of the entry point. A measured move would be more likely than not. It didn't put in quite that but the second bull leg again was more likely than not. Markets like symmetry but doesn't need to be exact....just close enough for government work.
EXACTLY!! They might not know a particular person's position per se but they know where positions congregate at different price levels so they know where to push and by how far and they know which positions are retail and which ones are not because they paid for our orders.
I am fine with not making money but not when one group of players have an unfair advantage because they know other market players' positions.

on that chart it does look mostly flat as a pancake;
hard to read some charts that are not your own;
Look at how flat the prices are from 11:00 AM to 14:30 and then it slowly crept up but still not moving much until this one big long candle within the last 10 minutes.
