WW III has already started a few years ago.
It seems some are still fighting WWII or at least the Cold War, such as Soros and his allies.
But The Western countries don't seem to realize that. It will be a digital war.
“Digital” is just a weapon, just like infiltrating the US media is. The objective is to neutralize US economic, political, military, and cultural capabilities for the purpose of expanding Russia’s and China’s, for that matter, geopolitical influence with less risk.
Russia is very well equipped for that, the Western world not at all.
Yes, Russia has a asymmetric advantage, compounded by deliberate system vulnerabilities by US technology companies for the purpose of domestic spying and data mining.
Russia has no money for a classic war, so they started a digital war. Is much cheaper and far more effective. If they crash the internet in the US, the damage is much bigger than if they would throw a few bombs. Throwing bombs would be seen as an aggressive act if war.
Depending on US political leadership, there is a threshold beyond which the US will take military action. Russia crashing our communication infrastructure such that it causes serious economic harm could be considered an act of war. The more serious and more lasting this damage is, the more likely the US would initiate a polarized response.
While hacking and installing trojans is not seen as an aggressive act, the damage can be huge.
Russia has long been attacking US financial networks and successfully redirecting wire transfers from real estate as well as from other transactions to their own accounts. This has resulted in increased efforts at developing secure methods to transfer money.
A downside for Russia with these attacks is they are loud. By loud, I mean we know Russia is an enemy because they are acting like one.
Russia has cut off their own internet from the rest of the world. All ins and outs go thru St Petersburg where the elite IT groups of Putin check everything, block what they don't like, check for viruses, control what Russian people do and can damage Putin and the oligarchs....
VPN is by law forbidden in Russia.
Russia has its own internal struggles, just like most other countries. It is fundamental for there to be a contest for power by the entrenched establishment and the often more intellectually capable and sometimes more popular anti-establishment.
In the Western countries the Russian have free access to the entire network. We have no free access to the Russian internet at all. Russian ((Putin) knows very well how vulnerable free access to internet is. Trump surely gets a lot of help to create chaos in the US, and it is difficult to proof that as it happens digitally. Divide and conquer, that's what is happening in the US. Fights between Republicans and Democrats is very effective to weaken the US, and it is kind of self destructive behavior. The US will become a country with 50% of the power it had before Trump started this destruction. It will soon bethe Figthing States of America instead of the United States of America.
What do you think: Will Putin be happy or sad about what happens in the US?
I have bolded and underlined your comments that are pure propaganda. Trump is not in bed with the Communists as he renegotiated trade deals with China to make them more fair for the US and Trump has maintained sanctions on Russia. The Democrats are the ones who have been in bed with Communists since the 1920’s. Look at the history of the labor unions. Look at which flags Democrat supporters fly at their protests and riots. Consider the attack of Trump’s campaign slogan: “Make America Great Again”(MAGA). Who, other than foreign influenced Leftist trolls, would have a problem with a saying like that? Look at the methods the Democrats employ in their insatiable quest for power such as in their bible,
Rules for Radicals. Use the
Communist Manifesto as a checklist to see the progress made by the Communists against the United States over the decades since its publication.
There is a reason why China, North Korea and other dictatorial countries control and manipulate internet.
The political elite, not necessarily politicians, of each country have what they consider to be critical interests. When the perceived critical interests of one country overlap the perceived critical interests of another country, conflict can result. The US perceived national interests seem overreaching. Taiwan is a particularly visible example of this. By history, geographic proximity, and the lack of international recognition, the US has little justification for interfering with China and Taiwan. Further, China will soon achieve at least regional military superiority such that US interference will be moot. The US needs to learn to focus on winnable situations.
As technology continues to develop, the ability of smaller groups of people to influence ever larger groups of people increases. A small group of people can either cause great damage and loss of life and or quickly gain political control of a country, small or large.
We are entering an age of tremendous opportunity and risk. We need a system that is robust enough to ensure only those with exceptional capability and character are allowed to lead.
Before it is too late.
