As we all appreciate a good strategy can easily go awry if the wrong position sizes are taken.

Is anyone aware of any online position sizing models and tools?

I am also interested in gathering the current state of the art in the theory underpinning position sizing.

I have used the principles set out by Van Tharp for years but want to update my own models with current thinking

My recommendation is to stick to 2% rule or less unless you are looking to get burned real bad.

I found a handy google doc for fixed position sizing based on dollar risk per trade.
Fill in the top and simply look at the chart to see how many shares to trade based on how many cents away your stop is.
