Portrait mode screen 'delay'?

Greetings,

Flipped my Acer V193 19" [which is crap btw] to portrait and switched the mode via Nvidia software just to try it out.

Things seem to be slow. That's the only way to describe it. Specifically, when I played around with Quotetracker pull downs in trading section things seemed to take an extra second to "redraw" . Don't know if that's the word for it. Just seemed slow. Stopped as soon as I went back to landscape.

Does being in portrait mode use more resources or something?

I know some monitors are described by the manufacturer as not being portrait mode compatible. Maybe start there...check with Acer
