We should just build the wall around Portland. I'm actually more afraid of leftism than an illegal immigrant.
I must say that last week when Chicago pulled up all the bridges to keep the riff-raff out so that they could not come running in to help their looter buddies, it had a real medieval moat look and feel to it.
We are rapidly becoming progressive, by 13th century standards anyway.

I live in a typical RTP area subdivision with no gates and typical amenities such as a pool & clubhouse.. We're a friendly community with a diverse population from around the world and a mix of political views. At least 20% of our families have a member with military experience and over 50% of the households own a firearm.
There is broad agreement on one thing though - we will not tolerate looters and rioters in our neighborhood. Over 80% of the households recently voted to support hiring private armed security if funding for police is reduced in our locality - this of course would increase monthly homeowner dues if enacted. Obviously several thousand families agree with my assessment of the current ANTIFA/BLM rioting & looting situation.

Patriots need to organize within communities and mutual assistance compacts between communities. Private security has its place but nevertheless it needs to be recognized that this is no longer at a private security private patrol or neighborhood watch level.
Vicious mobs are going to neighborhoods and the police will either stand down or be overwhelmed and ditto for private security with their employee approach to things. If mobs arrive, an equally forceful or greater level of patriots need to enter the zone and give the mob reason to relocate. In Oregon, for example, the mobs are not going to attemp this shiite on the coast where there are fishermen or in small towns with loggers or east of the mountains where their are ranchers. They prey on cities where lefty intellectuals will go in circles and either side with the mob or do nothing to show disapproval. Similarly if they find a snake in a baby's crib their first response is to figure out what the baby did wrong.
Antifa and company are organized at a level that is much higher than just the neigborhood level. Even "spontaneous" looter groups are dancing to organized twitter orders and the creation of flash mobs. The patriots need to up their game and their scope of preparedness. When looting first started in Seattle and Portland, armed patriots in Idaho immediately clustered in their downtowns to make it clear that that was not going to happen there. IS THAT SO FUCKING HARD TO UNDERSTAND.
