Popular platforms?

I would like to ask for another big help to readers of this forum.

What I'm looking for, is find all the various "apps" marketplaces where developers can lease their products to platform clients.

So far I've found the Metatrader 4&5 marketplace, the tradestation appstore, bloomberg app portal, and seems like also some brokers have some marketplace for their clients (like fxcm and dukascopy).

I'm looking to find more, if somebody have some information about this matter please feel free to share here!

Appreciated

Eheheh, now that's interesting.. Obviously app-stores are very good because they already have thousands of traders as audience, and they (app-stores) on average get 20-30% of the selling profits (commissions).

Now as only a few platforms do have these app-stores, a big part of the market will be out of them, this mean selling the indicators directly (from my website).

And it can be useful to have a few sellers out there helping the process, of course behind commissions (20-30%).

I think I will implement this business model, maybe we will work together in the near future.

I'm really thankful for the idea you just gave me!

Thanks for the kind words @palm44. I'd like to clarify a few things that have been brought up throughout this thread.

X_TRADER and the TT platform are used by the top tier investment banks, hedge funds, prop shops, commercial traders, retail traders and...well you get it...everyone. Every level of trader has access to our software.

When you get a license for our software you're getting the exact same tools used at these top tier firms. You have access to the same tools used by the "talking heads" on CNBC.

The starting price point for TT is $50, not $500. There is a transactional cost that is applied to this price and you may read more about that here: https://www.tradingtechnologies.com/platforms/pricing/

If you're interested in building an algo and testing it before signing on to a license, you can do that too. Access to the full Pro platform is free in our demo environment. There, free of charge, you may use ADL to create your algo and prove that your concept works.
https://www.tradingtechnologies.com/platforms/adl/

You are welcome to use the following link to access the demo environment: https://www.tradingtechnologies.com/try-tt/

We also have an active users forum where algo developers exchange ideas: https://community.tradingtechnologies.com/spaces/14/index.html

If anyone would like to speak with me in detail about the platform, please send me a PM or tweet me @patrickrooney. I'll be happy to help.

You are getting pretty good advice from several people; TT is hands down best platform for pro traders/execution/hedge trading and great with writing code etc... and is a very "pro" platform, I agreed about meta a few comments back.
I will say (as a professional trader) $500 is not only very expensive and I mean expensive, but if you think you have something worth that then you keep it yourself and run it and crush it. Also I don't know too many hedge fund owners or high net worth traders or even just good traders that would pay that b/c they know how to trade and have their own thing/model etc... but now lets try to imagine the rest of particpants paying $500/month.
I see this as a service, lower price-take it everyone (platform) to buy like tradestation and go for volume on your sales.
*I skimmed through this discussion so I apologize if I brought something up that had already been deemed decided.

Oh and I agree with I believe "bizros" about metatrader especiallly with launch of futures trading in 5, my fund actually opened an account with it and great execution so I see success.

Best platforms (even if 1/2 a broker)
TT
CQG and data
TWS by IB
MarketDElta especially now after merging the trading part with CQG platform and CQG IG for $199/month
QST-depending on style
CTS
OEC
Multi

Oh and don't listen to this list by stockbrokers.com and barrrons, if you google best platfors it brings up etrade and schwab and bs like that, tradestation is a good starter platform and user friendly (I started on it way back when actually) but way to high commissions, you can get much faster execution, better charts on and on. Don't listen to advertised posts. Listen to real traders. Just thought I'd add that.
I've had bad experience with tradestation, used it for 6 years. I've been using etrade for 15 years. Much better platform with exposed api's. Used them both side by side for 6 years, etrade win.
