Pope Francis on the supreme court

Barrett reportedly told students at Notre Dame that a "legal career is but a means to an end . . . and that end is building the Kingdom of God."

The New York Times reported that Barrett and her husband, who are parents to seven children, are members of an obscure group called People of Praise.

"Members of the group swear a lifelong oath of loyalty, called a covenant, to one another, and are assigned and are accountable to a personal adviser, called a 'head' for men and a 'handmaid' for women," the report read. "The group teaches that husbands are the heads of their wives and should take authority over the family."

According to The Times, the group describes itself as a "charismatic Christian community." The "heads and handmaids give direction on important decisions, including whom to date or marry, where to live, whether to take a job or buy a home and how to raise children."

What a bunch of horseshit.

Pope: Market capitalism has failed in pandemic, needs reform

ROME (AP) — Pope Francis says the coronavirus pandemic has proven that the “magic theories” of market capitalism have failed and that the world needs a new type of politics that promotes dialogue and solidarity and rejects war at all costs.

Francis on Sunday laid out his vision for a post-COVID world by uniting the core elements of his social teachings into a new encyclical aimed at inspiring a revived sense of the human family. “Fratelli Tutti” (Brothers All) was released on the feast day of his namesake, the peace-loving St. Francis of Assisi.

I see. You tards are arguing now that she might be a liberal because she will follow Pope Commie?

You might want to get your story together a bit. Confirmation coming right up.

As you can see above even our Commie Pope doesn't feel constrained by Church teachings if it offends his ideas of justice. He was just talking about Gays having Civil Unions.

I am personally against the death penalty, but if I were on the Supreme court... I would not strike down Capital Punishment.

I am against abortion as it takes a human life for the benefit of another human (its another story if you have to save the mom life but the baby dies)
But, if I were on the court I would not ban abortion...
I would leave for the States as the founders did.

I think its absolute horse shit that some are worried that a very well educated Catholic doesn't think for themselves. Plus, who is to say that Sup Ct judges have to follow group think. The left just makes shit up out of thin air half the time anyway.
