Poor form.

I wouldn't put it past the GOP itself to do this to gather sympathy. No matter who did it, poor form.

The local Republican Party headquarters in Orange County, NC, was struck overnight with a flammable material thrown through a front window of the building, local authorities said in a statement on Sunday.

Someone also spray-painted graffiti including a swastika and the words "Nazi Republicans leave town or else" on an adjacent building, the town of Hillsborough said on its website.

"The flammable substance appears to have ignited inside the building, burned some furniture and damaged the building's interior before going out," the statement said. No damage estimates were yet available.

What is in poor form is you suggesting that GOP did this to itself to get sympathy.

Let's provide some context and history. Orange County is the home of Chapel Hill (home of UNC-Chapel Hill) and Carrboro (motto: most progressive town) and it is North Carolina's most liberal county. The GOP headquarters has been vandalized nearly every major election cycle, but this is the first time the lefties have attempted to burn it.

Orange County is also home of the Occupy movement in North Carolina which illegally occupied buildings in Chapel Hill & Carrboro for many months and injured numerous police officers in the process. Chapel Hill and neighboring Durham were also the hosts of BLM marches involving violence against officers, destruction of property, blocking of highways, and protestors chanting "kill the pigs".

Chapel Hill is also the location where at least twice state level Republican legislative candidates were physically attacked while participating in candidate forums.

The town governments of Chapel Hill and Carrboro (both with the vocal openly gay mayors) also attempted to ban all guns (found unconstitutional in court), as well as regularly landing up in court while trying not the follow state laws regarding guns.

Orange County is a liberal paradise. The politicians and local lefties believe in silencing via force all those who disagree with them.

The apparent fire-bombing of a county GOP headquarters in North Carolina drew online responses from both presidential candidates on Sunday evening.

GOP nominee Donald Trump tweeted that "animals" representing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton had "firebombed our office in Orange County because we are winning."

Thank you Mr. @realDonaldTrump. We will not be silenced nor suppressed by this evil act. We will pray for those who seek to harm us.

The party responded to Trump in a tweet, pledging not to be silenced or repressed.

A bottle of flammable liquid was thrown into a building housing the Orange County GOP headquarters in Hillsborough, N.C., in what one state GOP official called an act of "political terrorism," the Charlotte Observer. reported.

Local police and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating, but had not released any information about suspects at the time of Trump's tweet.

And though Trump claimed he's winning, the RealClearPolitics average of polls from the state show Clinton ahead by 3 points.

Authorities said the vandals had written: "Nazi Republicans get out of town or else" on the side of a nearby building.

Clinton also tweeted about the attack on Sunday afternoon, which the state GOP responded to with thanks.

"The office itself is a total loss," said Dallas Woodhouse, head of the state Republican Party told the Observer. "The only thing important to us is that nobody was killed, and they very well could have been."...

This. Happens allot.

Jews do this to themselves. As well as Blacks.

Self inflicted wound to generate sympathy and political capital etc etc.

A group of Democrats came together Sunday to raise money to rebuild a Republican headquarters that was firebombed in North Carolina on Saturday night.

The GOP headquarters in Orange County, N.C., suffered major damage when an explosive device was thrown through a window on Saturday night, according to officials. The words “Nazi Republicans leave town or else” were spray-painted on a nearby building.

Yet another Republican campaign headquarters vandalized in North Carolina. Now in Alamance County...

The Alamance County Republican Party headquarters has been vandalized.

Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the North Carolina Republican Party, sent ABC11 photos that show the headquarters on Ramada Road in Burlington with graffiti spray-painted on walls, signs, and doors.

"F*** Trump" was written on a wall, and "NA" spray-painted on the door. "Republican" is crossed out in paint on a sign.

Anyone with information should contact the Burlington Police Department at (336) 229-3503 or anonymously to the Alamance County-wide Crimestoppers at (336) 229-7100. Crimestoppers is a partnership between the public, the media, and the police to fight against crime that may provide a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.

"It's an unfortunate thing. Really, it's sad that someone wants to express themselves that way as opposed to having a civil discussion and talking about where we have differences," said Alamance County GOP Chairman Ben York.

Burlington residents also expressed disappointment.

"I mean, it's like people don't have any respect for nothing anymore. Not for anybody's property and it's just really, really terrible to see people do something like this for an election," offered resident David Woodruff.

Last month, someone threw a bottle filled with flammable liquid through the front window of the Orange County Republican Party headquarters in Hillsborough.

Rep. Mark Walker, who represents North Carolina District 6, represents Alamance and Orange counties.

"One of life's greatest opportunities is to bring healing when you've been treated unfairly or wronged,' Walker said. "These words of hate create an opportunity for us to serve one another, be hands and feet for this community, and to do so with grateful hearts. We are incredibly blessed to live in a country where we may live and work in accordance to our peacefully held beliefs without fear of encountering violence."
