I appreciate all your advice. I never talk about trading anywhere except on here. So pardon me if i seem to let loose my negativity. Good trading to you all.

Thanks for the advice. I realize that it's better to just eat the small lost and wait for the next day to play bigger with better setup to recoup everything with extra. I often forget that because of the weakness i mention...just have to learn to be patient and haste makes waste.
:fistbump:

For me, due to this ONE last trade that I entered on Friday that turned out to be profitable, my June result is now above average. The whole entire year is still meh though.

For me, June started very good, but the last 6-7 trading days were red. I ended up 'Below average' still, hoping that the summer will be better with an increase of volatility.

I find the volatility should return more starting Sept. with everybody back from their summer vacation and a new round of earnings and all. And then there is the Feds, the biggest volatility generator. There is a rate decision coming up in the third week of September.

How's it going? Awesome by the sound of it.
How's the plan to be a millionaire by the end of the year coming. Half the year is shot already. Time fly's when your having fun.

That was my goal as well for this year. Looks like it's gonna have to be next year's goal. LOL

Consider that there simply is not enough time or action for the trade to play out as earlier in the day. The amount of time in a trade has some minimums: Amount of movement, amount of bars, MAE, MFE. Good trading means knowing these. You know these minimums in the context of average time in Wins and Lose trades and other data

A trade with less than 30 minutes to close, with the MOC auction spike at 10min to close, and the closing ramp up move(s) and the increase volume(s) at some point(s), it is a different trade than almost any part of the day.

Good trading means working these known events to get a good PL. It impacts trades that are open as well as new positions. You can keep the same strategy, but change the exit tactics.

Bottom line I often go for a high trading Alpha ($/bar) in the last 30 min unless I have a winner open for about 10 min or more, and even then, a liberal criteria for an exit signal "works" best. etc. etc.
:D

PS: running average to above average. All green weeks. Last two being the best.

How often do you experience 6-7 days in a row of losses ?
Would you consider it business as usual ?
How do you feel about it ?

Did you learn something from it ?
Do you think it's because of the low volatility ?
How could you avoid throwing bad money in this environment ?
Business as usual.
Red periods happened.
I did have one green day in that bunch though, but it was mostly a red period.
Low volatility and choppy market are 'usually' not good for day trader.

The most important thing is that overall, June ended up green.
