Funny, as it was (yes was!) just the way around. It was GWB's daddy that sold Saddam biological and chemical weapons and the latter used them against his opponents, including civilians (Kurds). So isn't the elder Bush responsible for these weapons to have been used? Of course he is. He knew very well what Saddam would do with them. Now, why would you expect the younger Bush to be different? Like father like son...

His comments of what bin Laden would do with nuclear and chemical weapons is not hypothesis, is based both upon what bin Laden has said he would do and on his past actions. Stupid polls and comments like these that are supposed to pass for critical thinking are why I almost never visit the chit chat arena. The few rational voices here are drowned out by conspiracy theorists, pseudo-intellectuals (who make suggestions like the one above) and/or people full of hate and lies.
Judging from his history, saddam probably would've killed more people than have been killed in Iraq as they start getting a taste of freedom.
As far as Afghanistan, where people were living (and many were starving or being executed) under a terrible, brutal regime, there were relatively few civilian lives lost (and far fewer than the Taliban were taking). Moreover, the US has a right to defend itself, and the Taliban were harboring al Quada and its leaders. Anyone who can't appreciate that especially is an unreasonable person not worthy trying to reason with. Nuff said!!

It's a good point and I'm with you. This is just the latest example of a horrid trend I've noticed on ET lately and which I think Baron would be wise to address sooner rather than later. That trend includes, among other idiocies, references to the President of the United States as "the little shit" and as a "mad dog." And now this.
I speak of trend as a student of markets, in this case the market of some posters' vile. Agree with the Bush policies, don't agree with them, fine. Political discourse is wonderful, a protected Right in the U.S. And I've read ideas on all sides of the aisle here that are thoughtful.
But these latest examples aren't political discourse; these can only be characterized as unadulterated hatred for the President. And when posts so clearly indicate an intellectual bankruptcy with a blind underlying rage that is so out of control it compares Bush with Bin Laden, calls him a little shit, or a mad dog, then there are very few steps remaining in such a trend before someone thinks it's okay to tip over the edge. And the result will be that serious people will make Baron's life very difficult, as a prelude to making these posters' lives very, very difficult even if they eventually "win" in court.
Baron, in my opinion this unfortunate trend needs to be reversed or at least quiesced before someone loses whatever marginal emotional control they have left and, in their next fit of vile, writes something that indeed becomes actionable. If for no one elses sake but your own and the positive value that ET provides to the rest of us.

Bush hasn't used WMDs on anyone yet, has he? Won't you consider this a case of actual action ( or inaction as pertains to this situation)?
Judging from your previous posts, you obviously have a personal dislike of George Jr., and you have every right to feel that way as an individual.
But equating our president with a terrorist like Osama is simply silly, which I know you are not.
