Why choose just one style?

Personally I like to scalp, daytrade, swing, automate and even possibly hold long term.

And how much $ are u up YTD?

You are better off focusing on one style and mastering it.. instead of trying to everything..

TF.

You know I'm down this year. What's the point of that question? I will be fine in the near future. That's all I have to say.

P.S how much are you up this year? When I get things rolling I would not be suprised if I start having 100K days regularly. I know this is a possibility for myself. Now I ask what is your potential?

P.P.S There's nothing wrong with scalping 500 contracts on the ES here and there. Everyone has their own style when will you understand that?

After much trading,
I agree with Trend Fader :)

Swing trading utilizing daytrading techniques.

I have such a small drawdown the risk reward ratio is mind blowing not to mention the leverage I can use.

When 30m-1-3-6 hour trades daytrading, you are assuming a risk everytime you put on a trade.
This is the worst type of daytrading style IMO.

The other money making style is scalping, thats the only type of daytrading that makes money consistently I have seen.
Although its not the type of action I look for or is it scalable.

I always trend with the trend, Counter trend is not worth the Risk/reward or even my time.

Thats precisely my timeframe. Most of my trades last 2 to 4 hours. And when do you not assume "risk" whenever you put on a trade?

what happened to the dart throwing monkey method? Am I the only one still doing this?
Mine is a variation, the monkey is blindfolded.

What do you define as 'day trading techniques'? And if you are swing trading with them are they not 'swing trading techniques'?
