Even if Trump were the most charming and polite guy (the opposite of where he is now) those with opposite ideas on the left and right (establishment republicans, for example) would see him as a threat and work to undermine him. So he really has nothing to lose. By all rights he shouldn't even be in office.

I'm pretty sure the media started all of this. Doesn't mean Trump is right, but you're using the same argument newwurld was making, and it's not entirely accurate. The media is the establishment, and is part of the reason a guy like Trump made it into office.
