Agin1415, you are asking reasonable enough questions.

The problem is that you are looking for logic which, so it seems, so many people don't appear to have.

Reasoning just doesn't appear to work.

I am sorry that I have come to the conclusion that the only language 'they' understand is violence but ................., if that is what it is then, by all means, let us educate them and let them endure another couple of centuries of dictatorship, being exploited.

Yesterday I heard some commentator say the very same thing which I have been saying for years i.e. some of these populations aren't ready for the luxury of a democracy (unfortunately).

Yup, gotta agree with you... "they" are incapable of rational discourse... so let's smoke em out and kill em off... yeehaaa

God Bless America and Israel...

Contra to what might be suggested.

We're not going to go into Iraq and Kill them all.

Not necessary, its going to be done with alot of psycho ops and some pin point bombing of very key control functions of the Iraqi Government.

The Iraqi's will overthrow Saddam and put and end to it quick, once they understand who's in control.

The bombing will be focused on Communications Links, Power Generation, and Weapons.

We are not going to murder a bunch of civilians.

It might take a night or two (of the bombing campaign) for the rank and file military elite to fiqure a way to arrest Saddam or kill him.

If there are any ARABS on the face of the planet that are LOGICAL its the IRAQI's.

They just have been subjegated by the genious of the world in Despots as far as being able to stay in power (Saddam).

Lets smoke em out and give em justice!! yeehaaa.... God Bless America and Israel...

hey candle, just curious, how old are you ? Do you remember the early 90's ? Do you remember when we totally crushed the iraqi military with ease and seized inumerable oil wells ? Do you remember when we simply gave them all back after putting out all the oil fires and kuwait was safe again ? do you just post to annoy people ?

Le Carre tells us that he "would love to see Saddam’s downfall — just not on Bush’s terms and not by his methods. And not under the banner of such outrageous hypocrisy." The novelist appears to have no proposal, not even a fictional scenario, for precipitating that downfall, but appears instead to think that the sentiment or rather the fantasy should be of sufficient comfort to the denizens of Saddam's jails, to the Kurds and Shias left in their enclaves to fight for their lives against Saddam's troops, and to the rest of Iraq's citizenry, left to suffer scarcity and oppression while Saddam diverts Iraq's oil revenues to his military and security forces, and to the building of public monuments in his own honor. On the other hand, if the Iraqis followed Le Carre's view, they would be expected to reject their liberation out of distaste for Bush's religion and extensive connections in the oil industry.

As for a viable alternative to Bush's policy, Le Carre likewise rests on fantasies. He merely asserts that the "if the will to negotiate energetically had ever been there, [the war] could [be] avoided." Even to call this scenario vague would be too much, as doing so would be to attribute some registerable substance to it.

It's sad to see Le Carre lowering himself as a polemicist to the kind of moral vapidity, squishy sentimentality, and simple-minded cliches he would never tolerate as a novelist.

>>so let's smoke em out and kill em off... yeehaaa<<

That shows the writer as being too gungho. That isn't what we are trying to achieve, that isn't what it is all about.

In fact when some on makes an absurd statement like others will judge the whole of the USA by that which is very unfair.

Even though Candletrader in a subsequent post agrees with what Agin14125 is saying the harm has already been done.

Gimme a break freealways... I worship President George, and I love quoting him...

We gotta smoke em out and give em justice, cos we will show em who the boss is... if people don't obey us, we should bomb em and teach em respect... God Bless America and Israel... we will defend the civilized world from the evil dewers... yeeeehaaaaa

Anyways, other people will judge us by our actions and not by our words... the USA is the most popular country on the planet and we are universally admired for being the defender of civilization and democracy... the majority of the world loves us, honest they do... so we should keep bombing the evil dewers, and people will love us even more... yeeehaaa! God Bless America and Israel...
