POLL: The repercussions of a US attack on Iraq

Finally we agree on something... I would wholeheartedly support attacks and regime change on our true enemies, Saudi Arabia (chief financial sponsor of global terror) and Pakistan (chief terrorist trainer in a post-Taleban world)... however, we continue to call these basketcase countries our allies in the war against terrorism... what a joke... I will always support war if the reasons are right and the enemy is a real threat... I will, however, not support an oil war where the 'enemy' is no longer even a threat to its neighbors (who do not wish it to be attacked, with the one obvious exception of Israel), let alone a threat to us...
... if Saddam is an Islamic fundie, then I am a chimpanzee... Al-Quaeda and Saddam are ideological opponents... Saddam is the kind of secularist that Osama would just love to kill...
Having said all this, it seems virtually certain that our oil war will go ahead... I am resigned to this eventuality...
In a post-Saddam world, I hope that we then decide to take out the real threats (Saudi Arabia and Pakistan), rather than just maintain the status quo...
I hope that the American policy makers get back on track, and cease the current hypocrisy... God Bless America...

There are justifiable targets and there are non-justfiable targets... if you are talking about Iraq, I agree with ya... we have no genuine reason to bomb Iraq (other than an oil lust)... but if you are talking about the scum in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, I will strongly disagree with you... we must take out these assholes, cos they are a genuine threat to our way of life...

Yup, they sure are... Saudi Arabia is the chief financial sponsor of global terror and and Pakistan is the chief terrorist trainer in a post-Taleban world... let us not forget that the overwhelming majority of terrorists who hit us on September 11th were Saudis...
We must not shirk from our responsibility to take out the Saudi and Pakistani scum who continue to threaten us... these two basketcase countries are legitimate targets, in my view, for pre-emptive US military strikes...
If convincing evidence were presented that persuasively linked Iraq to Al-Quaeda (despite the ideological differences between Saddam and Osama), I may even be inclined to change my stance on whether we should be prepared to take on the Iraqis... Powell will be giving a presentation in due course to the UN security council... it should be interesting to see if any new US security service intelligence is revealed that will help people like me to come around to finally wholeheartedly backing the USA to attack Iraq...

If our soldiers are sent to fight Saddam, it is our obligation to support em, irrespective of whether or not we agree with the war... our heroic soldiers are putting their lives on the line for their country (irrespective of the actual policy in play)... God Bless America...

Cos this is the best course of action... why risk the lives of our soldiers, when we can maximise the damage to the enemy without risking one of our soldiers...
