That post is so funny! Hahaha, I am lying on the ground with my sides splitting with laughter. Help me, Mr Wild, I can not stop laughing, hahaha! Oil from the Mexicans!!!

So you think this sort of things is worth making fun of? You are a disgrace to your country (wherever you are from) and to your family (I feel sorry for your wife and children - if unfortunately you have some - but especially your parents who must be sinking in the ground with shame).

Why do you not just concentrate on being quiet? That way you avoid damage

Quote from daniel_m:

and as for safety, just ask yourself this: who'd be safer, an indonesian in sydney, or an australian in djakarta? not even close, is it... the only Ozzies you can see in Jakarta these days are diplomats or pimps: not much has changed, and either they have armoured limousines or local thugs to protect them

precisely my point! an australian in djakarta is in far greater danger of for his life than an indonesian in sydney! glad you see it my way!

well well, even in Sydney's notorious Kings Cross area pimps would not leave home without their bodyguards. And pimps is what you see in Jakarta, if you look when you hear an Ozzie speaking.

.., but look at the horrific treatment the east timorese suffered for years at the hands of indonesians.. I think Mr Wild has listed some of other "guilties" regarding Tim Tim!

what about indonesia's chinese population, terrorized and had homes and shops burnt down (check your history books buddy)... or how about being a christian in indonesia.. good luck...
Yes, it is not easy in my country, but did I ever say Indonesia is paradise?

mahatir can rant and rave all he likes (and he does it a LOT), but he thank his lucky stars for the colonial period that brought culture and civilization to what would have otherwise no doubt been another sout east asian backwater hole.
Well, the wonderful things which the colonial era has done to the world have been the subject of many disputes. Let us just say here, that for example in Australia it meant the end for I don't know how many thousands of people who were called "aborigines"

just out of curiousity, what are you guys doing in indonesia that's so vastly superior? devoting your lives to serving allah? geez, i'm hard pressed to think of a greater (and sadder) waste of time than that...
If I am not mistaken, even in Australia there are churches where people congregate on Sundays to serve god or allah or whatever name you bestow on him geez, what a waste of time. And in Indonesia, for lack of resources, we do not have "jolly swagmen sitting beside a billabong" who steal "jumbucks".

ok, so you prefer asian food. great. personally, i hate it. i find it disgusting. but can you see how that is entirely beside the point?

furthermore, with your constant jabs at westerners
hahaha, very clever, throwing insults at Asians and then turning it around..., your attitude seems to me FAR more racist than anything i, or hapaboy, or any others here on "my side" have said to you. i thought the days when those primitive chinese and japanese deadheads considered westerners "barbarians" were long gone.. maybe i was wrong.. This time, I regret to inform you, those days are far from over, at least as far as pinbrains like you and the people on "your side" are concerned: yes, you are barbarians without the least of culture, and you attempt to rule the world. Sadly, cultured people do not have the weapons which you have, because they normally devote their energy to other things but to create weapons of mass destruction.

I found those remarks by Mr Wild on the history of the English language highly interesting. And as a consequence I will take a closer look at the German language and culture.

yes, they were interesting weren't they. although, ultimately, i think wild is WAY OFF in calling english a german dialect (he is completely ignoring the Norman influence).
sure, go ahead and take a look. i recommend, for a balanced understanding, that you have a look into the development of the 'highly cultured' doctrines of Lebensraum and Drang nach Osten that played such a large role in german (and hence european) history after the formation of their unified state (c 19th century)

I have just and for the first time in my life listened to the Indonesian service of the German radio :"duteshce welle", and I found that much more inspiring than CNN or BBC. Sorry, people, but I greatly admire the German people who boldly elected a government which is openly opposing the American warmongering. If possible, I would like to meet more Germans, and especially Mr Wild who unfortunately is dragged into this totally fruitless debate here.

fairplay, i'm not denying that some australians are racistssome? most if not all, except for Asian immigrants who made it past those immigration bullies! (to varying extents). i meant, what legislation is there in australia that denies an asian immigrant (or visitor) anything that is available to non-asians. NONE!
and, you might be interested to know, i'm an immigrant myself. i also half from gypsy origin. so i can certainly relate to being discriminated against on a racial basis. but i learnt to get over it, and, lo and behold, i mysteriously saw less and less evidence of it occurring in my life. the lesson: most of what you regard as discrimination is probably nothing more than a figment of your imagination.
good on you, mate, she'll be right!

Then: your highly skilled immigration officers are only trained to pick on Asian travellers. Why is it that any fairskinned traveller walks through baggage control and all Asians have their luggage sniffed at by dogs, if not for offending our feelings. You know it and everybody else knows it.

because it's a well known fact that the vast majority of drugs entering the country come from asia. it has nothing to do with offending your feelings (i refer you to what i wrote above).

Ah, so no Australian drug dealers?

Wild cannot help you. He cannot even help himself.
So you think this sort of things is worth making fun of?
I feel you, Candle, Wild and a few other fantasy-spinners are worth making fun of. Absolutely.
You are a disgrace to your country (wherever you are from) and to your family (I feel sorry for your wife and children - if unfortunately you have some - but especially your parents who must be sinking in the ground with shame).
Gee, coming from an irate Indonesian who has never been here and is mad at me because I have air-conditioning and he doesn't, among other things, that really hurts. Deeply. Ouch. Ugh.
Why do you not just concentrate on being quiet? That way you avoid damage
You should be thankful for any damage inflicted on you. Maybe someday you'll wake up.

Stop the madness!!!!!!

rs7, I would be willing to take a poll and let the users of ET's chit chat forum decide.

If a cut/paste article (or its URL link) is only used to bolster a position or to provide shall we say argument for a side of a debate, rather than simply being an interesting or whimsical article, then it will be erased or edited as the case may be.

What do you think? Shall we hold a vote? or let the weeds grow?

Hear, hear...

1979 – American oil company executives, posing as diplomats, are taken hostage in Tehran.

March 30, 1981- President Reagan is shot in the chest by an angry solar-energy advocate.

1983-A group of Shiite Moslems bomb the U.S. embassy in Beirut after President Reagan publicly acknowledges that the reason the US is there is to gain access to the huge oil reserves known to be at the corner of Arafat & Kaddafi Ave.

1983-U.S. troops invade the caribbean island of Grenada, NOT for the sake of stability and the protection of hundreds of US citizens attending school there, but in order to gain access to the huge reservoirs of oil known to be hidden in the country’s numerous hollowed-out palm trees.

1986-Lybia is bombed by U.S. war planes, NOT because of Kaddafi’s involvement in sponsoring and abetting terrorism, but because the US lusts after the country’s huge oil reserves.

1989-U.S. military troops invade Panama and install a new government in order to gain access to the country’s huge oil reserves the CIA believes are in Manuel Noriega’s septic tanks.

1989-The Berlin Wall falls. It is not the failure of communism that sparks this event, but rather the actions of the CIA, Chevron, and Unical, who lust after the huge oil reserves known to be under the East Berlin sidewalks.

August 1990- Iraq chases American forces into Kuwait. The US quickly uses the Zionist media to make it seem like Iraq invaded Kuwait. For complete details on this incident, please see
http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=179954#post179954.

1992-Russia and the United States end the Cold War. This is so they can independently spend more time lusting and planning how to take over the world’s oil reserves.

1992-The Rodney King riots occur in L.A. This is the result of racial tensions the US government has fostered, along with flooding South Central L.A. with cocaine, in order to hide its planning to take over the world’s oil reserves.

1992-The "World Wide Web" is started up for home use. Wild is so happy he buys schnitzel and sauerkraut for his whole cell….er, family.

1993- The World Trade Center in New York is bombed by Arab patriots tired of the US government’s lust to take over the world’s oil reserves.

1993- A 51 day siege in Waco, Texas ends in the death of cult leader David Koresh, who had to be killed as he knew secrets about the US government’s plans to take over the world’s oil reserves.

1994- O.J. Simpson leads police on a long chase in his white Bronco. This event was infuriating to Wild as it not only wiped out the telecast of the David Hasslehoff singing special, but also diverted attention from the US government’s plans to take over the world’s oil reserves.

1994- U.S. troops seize the country of Haiti in order to plunder the country’s vast oil reserves hidden in hundreds of goat farms.

1995- A car bomb destroys the federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, killing hundreds. Timothy McVeigh, known throughout Germany as an independent journalist and frequent contributor to The Guardian on assignment trying to uncover the US government’s plans to take over the world’s oil reserves, is wrongly imprisoned, tried, and executed. It is commonly known in Germany that the US government bombed the federal building, just as it faked the attack on the Pentagon on 9/11.

1998- President Bill Clinton is charged with lying to a federal grand jury, and faces possible impeachment proceedings. Ken Starr is known throughout Germany to be a top shareholder in The Carlyle Group, one of the most powerful, well-connected, and secretive companies in the world that has established itself as the gatekeeper between private business interests and U.S. defense spending. Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, and Monica Lewinsky are also universally recognized in Stuttgart and Wiesbaden disco clubs as “The Teutonic Three,” responsible for seducing leading investigators trying to uncover the US government’s plans to take over the world’s oil reserves and then publicizing the incidents.

Babak, I was really joking. You know how I feel, and I know my feelings are shared by many others.

So, while I like your proposal on an emotional level, on a real objective level, it comes down to censorship. So no matter how wasteful the proliferation of cut and paste specialists (we know who they are), it remains clear that we are all free to ignore reading what we already know we will be subjected to.

Another problem with deleting the cut and pastes is that it would be almost too much to ask of the moderators (like yourself) to actually have to assess the value or slant of each incident of long boring and repetitive nonsense we see from the same people all the time. What if there is a surprise and we get a worthwhile tidbit hidden in the usual propaganda we see from those who specialize in this pastime? (Unlikely we would notice the needle in the haystack, but it could be there).

As for the URL links, some are great. And the "regulars" know when it is likely to be worth a "click". If someone posts a link, and it is out of character for that person, it is likely worth a look.

If Fasterpussycat were to post a link, you can bet I would take a look. Because with all the preposterousness he posts (no offense intended FPC), I, for one, know it is all a result of his own original demented thinking. So if he does post a link, how can I not be curious? And it is doubtful I will not be, at the least, amused. Or maybe even enlightened. And if it turns out to be a waste of my time.....well we all manage to find ourselves doing a lot of that here anyway:)

(FPC....sorry to use you as an example. Only an example. Nothing more). MrSubliminal, who I enjoy greatly is another guy that I don't recall ever having done any cut and paste jobs. Or posting any links. So like FPC, how could I (or anyone) resist seeing what MrSub thinks worthy of being shared? But we can't really discriminate based on "reputation", so there is no fair way I can see on how to determine what and who should be censored.

The only truly offensive stuff I ever saw here was censored (deleted). And it was stuff that was just too far over the line, and of no value or benefit to anyone.

However, having said all this, I can't say that I would not find a poll, as you suggested very interesting. I am sure the results and the associated posts would be at the least, entertaining. And after all, when we are in the "chit chat" forums, we are hoping for entertainment. At least I am:)

Peace,
:)rs7

But while they are in Kuwait, the US blunders, misses their one big chance and forgets to take over this oil kingdom, leaving without a single barrel. This precipitates the actions leading up to today's situation with Iraq with the admnistration's war cry, "Never Forget! (the oil)."
