Who do you feel was more effective at furthering their cause in the first Presidential debate on Monday night?

Please note that the question is NOT, "who do you like," or "who will you vote for." The question concerns specifically the performance in the first debate.

Trump crushed Hillary-- She was schlonged on so many counts. There is no question that Trump will be the next President of the United States. If he surrounds himself with the right people, like Reagan did, it will be a wildly succesful term.

Reagan had been tested and tempered during his terms as Governor of California. Unfortunately, Trump has had no such experience, no such testing. He has never been in a position of service to anyone.

Domestically, he can be limited by the other branches of government and by our constitution.

But internationally and militarily, he would be a frightening risk as commander-in-chief of our armed forces. He has clear, documented tendencies to anger easily, to attack those who don't agree, and to fail to follow the advice of others. He is a loose cannon, and whatever good he might bring to the office, the huge risk of him as commander of our forces overwhelms all other considerations.

Trump easily won, but missed bringing up issues like Benghazi and corruption etc. I suspect we'll see that in the next debate. --All she has is "Donald Trump is bad".

Cankle's foreign policy adviser has already been quoted as saying that the first thing she'll do is get Bassad out of Sryia. Sounds like war to me. Is there any other way?

Meanwhile, while Trump is friendly with Putin, Hillary can't stop badmouthing him. Is that going to lead to a nice peaceful relationship?

Get real. If Hillary is elected, it's almost certain war in the middle east and that's why every single neocon is for her.

trump missed so many opportunities, looked unprepared, unable to quickly rebut many of Clinton's statements, did not explore at all Clinton's foundation's mess, Benghazi, Clinton's failed reset with Russia, all her failures while secretary of state, and senator...he was unable to brush off questions about his past and concentrate on Clinton's constant lying,... Clinton's lies and failures should have been the theme of his evening, instead with the help of moderator it was discussion mostly about trump

someone should teach this guy how to put the moderator on his place, how to switch from unwanted issue to the issue you (not your opponent ) want to explore

this requires quick wits, preparedness , experience, training...trump showed almost none of that

People Trump's age (and I can say this, being close myself), do not change their nature, and their way of interfacing with others. What we have all seen of him in this debate, and especially in the primary debates, is WHO HE IS, and it is what he will be in the White House, and traveling the globe.

It is simply stupidity to expect, to hope, that he will be anyone else.

For a year now, many of us who were expecting him to get his act together, have waited long enough. He needs to be shown the door. We can't trust him in the White House. Neither he, nor the republican party, have earned it.
