You can't talk about the ego without putting it in context.. ie: in terms of the process and purpose of existence.. the development of individualized self conscious awareness as opposed to the absolute's (god's) undifferentiated consciousness of oneness

Put simply the universe is an expression of god's awareness.. (in effect we are thoughts inside the mind of god) and our job is to develop the ego sufficiently so that god may know all aspects of itself.. being all that has ever been or will be it can only meditate on itself.. our awareness is the great work

Sorry for the late answer. You surely know I do not have to do anything... Nobody has... And I've learnt early enough, that one doesn't have to be ashamed when asking questions, which seem to put the person who asks into a seeming awkward situation. I just wanted to dig into the deepness of your beautiful mind and find something more illuminating than the shallow expressions of this guy (Nitzsche). To be contiued...

:D This is it. He is definitely inside my head. Now I know how SpongeBob SquarePants felt when the evil Plankton took control of his brain.

He is psikologikally overpowering me and I see visions of ET mascot - a linguistically trained monkey by the name Al, the carrier of MPD, who escaped Dallas ZOO and arguing violently with silvermotion pointing to NQ chart. Except the silvermotion is on the other side of the blackhole where parrallel lines meet and everything is upside down. Which explains why he can't tell FTP from FBP and his trendlines extend in the past instead fo the future.
