There is a huge difference in the belief that a higher power than man (a.k.a. god) provides order in the universe and a belief in a god that will provide salvation.

I think you are referring to the latter here.

Moreover, you don't have to know the "meaning of life" to enjoy it. I can vouch for that.

I'm not talking about the meaning OF life. I refer to finding meaning IN life. There is a difference. Someone who finds life meaningful need not have all the answers.
