Quote from Nana Trader:

How much charged for reuters 3000? Did you get it
personaly, or using shared through some trading
desk at a trading firm?

Have you ever compared it like how faster "Minute wise"
you get the news than other services say like Dow jones
news wire which is around $100?

Reuters 3k is roughly $1400 for a single-license.

$1400 Single-license per person? I think less
thah 1% individual traders afford to use it.

Can prop firms use same $1400 license, they
have lot of traders and can benefit from it

This proves that news like DJ news wire charged
for $95-$115 are always very late

If you are paying fees for all exchages, then you might
consider "DTN RealTime" for $129 plus your choice of
one exchange for free. Any of Additional exchange for
just $20.

DTN RealTime is also compatible with many third-party software packages including Ensign, Aspen and TradeStation.

Can you provide the link to which kind of service
that you use? And how they help you?

Nana-
How is DTN able to charge a lower exchange fee than the exchange themselves? I was under the impression that the fees are set by the exchange.

All i know is that rates charged are not same for every
data provider, If you compare Esignal, Tradestation,
IQfeed DTN,... rates differ little bit, and IB charges
nothing (free) if commision generated $30

Data provider get feed at much lower price, and if IB
can offer for free, others can offer at discount, or at
their own expanse. But again i'm not sure on these

another interesting poll

Okay... here's the deal. I started an eSignal subscription about three weeks ago. I have compared the eSignal feed to IB and to CQG. The eSignal feed consistently lags both of these feeds. sometimes very badly.

The reason I went with eSignal to feed my Amibroker is that I had heard more bad things about DTN/IQ downtime, data reliability issues and horrid customer service than I had about eSignal. In my mind, paying minimum $150 for quality data is a cost of doing business.

However, quality data are not what we seem to be getting with eSignal. And the worst part is the symbol limit. If I am paying $300/month for RT data from Esignal, I bloody well want to be able to access their EOD database, and not at some 250 symbol limit.

CQG starts to be an option at the upper levels of eSignal service, and I believe that CQG is in a totally different league than eSignal.

Rant over - I really didn't want to start a thread to do that :D
