Poll: Cheney trails Trump-backed challenger in Wyoming by 22 points

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) trails her main challenger in her bid to win reelection to her House seat by more than 20 points, according to a poll released Friday.

A poll from the Casper Star-Tribune shows attorney and Trump-backed candidate Harriet Hageman leading Cheney, 52 percent to 30 percent. Other candidates did not surpass 5 percent support, while 11 percent of respondents to the poll were undecided.

The poll was the first independent, public in-state poll to be conducted on the race, according to the Star-Tribune.

Cheney has been on the outs with most of her party over her condemnation of former President Trump’s attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection. Cheney was removed from her position as House GOP conference chair in the aftermath of her criticism, and Trump endorsed her challenger, Hageman, in the primary scheduled for next month.
 
Highly unlikely that Liz Cheney will even return to Wyoming once she is ousted. Her residence there is just a scam/sham accomplished via her vacation home in Wilson, Wyoming.

Otherwise, she lives lives in MClean Virginia, sends her kids to private school there and her husband has been lobbyist/lawyer and in and out of government for years. Not sure he is ready to give all that up for moving to Wyoming.

Most likely she will be a CNN contributor while because they have strong history of hiring people who have absolutely zero personality or public appeal but hate Trump. It does not matter one whit that all those drones have tanked CNN, their door is always open to anyone who has been wounded by Trump. That's fine. It is not like anyone is watching.

Biden will give her the Presidential Medal at some point for sacrificing her position to save the country. Go ahead and laugh. We shall see.

The 2020 election was legitimate due to the fact that the states sent their electors and they were accepted on Jan 6. States are free to choose their electors any way they wish. In the 2020 election, some states decided to accept fraudulent votes in order to determine which electors to send. That is within their right. ---As an aside, it is not required for each state to hold an election at all as the state legislature can decide which electors to send without holding an election. This would be tantamount to what happened in the 2020 election.
