Politicians whine when their homes are looted or vandalized

it's the Blaze is all I'm saying. A private detail is not uncommon in these scenarios:

Any detail should come from the police department at much lower cost. And these politicians must provide all details of the supposed threats in a police report so they can be properly addressed. I very much doubt that there are any threats - since they have provided no evidence of their claims.

hmm....report to the people most affected by the policies I'm proposing and who may be issuing the threats?

Agree it is a bit hypocritical to criticize police but then use private security ... at tax payers expense.

But after all don't right wingnuts espouse privatizing prisons (Corrections Corp of America etc) and even the armed services (Blackwater etc)?

Hey police are unionized. Its a win/win for nuts. No? o_O

:p

Wow 80%, 80%, 80%

Didn't know the numbers are that EXACT.

Also guess there wasn't "a good guy with a gun" to protect the little boy that was killed ... 4 months ago.

She wants to defund the police and supports the CHOP --- and now she is demanding protection...

Seattle mayor who defended CHOP is outraged after protesters showed up at her home
She said the protest put her family and kids at risk

Private security, this will be the next new thing on a much larger scale than we currently see. It won't just be for individuals. Many communities, gated types and upscale neighborhoods will be hiring private security services to patrol and protect. The police, if doing anything at all will be tied up in the hood with the escalating violence there.

Yes... I agree with you. If cities move forward with "defunding the police" then private security will be on a hiring spree. Most upscale (or even mid-scale) sub-divisions will be hiring armed private security firms for their neighborhoods. Many retails malls will also hire armed private security. All the former police officers will find jobs in these firms providing protection.

The downtown core of these "defund the police" cities will be left as the equivalent of Mad Max imagery.
