it seems to me they are just trying to move things around to make it look like they are doing things to avoid real action because it would make them unpopular.

perhaps it is ignorance on my part but politicians use maths to hide things rather than reflect the truth. the thing i have never understood is if staying in power is so important why don't they do the one thing that would keep it. doing their job properly.
