I encountered somebody who was laying it on thick about how was rich as he earned every penny he had. he is a local pundit on all things. It is a bugbear of mine hearing men or couples who never had kids (or just one) lording on about their great contribution to America like modern Louis the sixteenth and Marie Antoinette. the rest of could have been richer but were making and raising citizens. when he said this here and I'm thinking this was WWII level and it makes me wonder a lot about his story. After my time just I know from what I heard that Nixon was opposed to any increases but the GI bill got a good increase in 1975. I have to wonder aloud if the man saying this knows about the bill now from google searching not personal experience?
"I was denied financial aid because I was a Vietnam War veteran and had the GI Bill for support which in those days was $75 a month for a maximum of 36 months or the granting of a degree whichever came first."
