Political pundit claims to be Vietnam Vet but is he lying?

I encountered somebody who was laying it on thick about how was rich as he earned every penny he had. he is a local pundit on all things. It is a bugbear of mine hearing men or couples who never had kids (or just one) lording on about their great contribution to America like modern Louis the sixteenth and Marie Antoinette. the rest of could have been richer but were making and raising citizens. when he said this here and I'm thinking this was WWII level and it makes me wonder a lot about his story. After my time just I know from what I heard that Nixon was opposed to any increases but the GI bill got a good increase in 1975. I have to wonder aloud if the man saying this knows about the bill now from google searching not personal experience?

I just found the post in the thread about scataphagos being insane that I think confirms a fear.

scataphagos a self proclaimed expert in finance in making a boast about his prowess in life makes a wildly inaccurate statement about how much GI bill benefit he was entitled to (quoting the WWII rate I believe? my apologies as you need to make sense of the first two posts above.

I can remember when I first got into the financial services business... While I was waiting for my first check, I could have pooled all of my money... and still could not have afforded a pizza. And that was the SECOND time in my life when I had been "poor as a church mouse"..

Today, college kids run up $HUNDREDS-OF-THOUSANDS in school loans. I was DENIED financial aid... because, "I was a Vietnam War veteran and had the GI Bill" for support.... which in those days was $75/month for a maximum of 36 months.... or the granting of a degree... whichever came first".

I'm rich because of my own efforts.. and IN SPITE of the government being my adversary all along the way.

Is there any wonder why I say.... "FUCK THE WHINERS. FUCK THE "LIFE ISN'T FAIR" PARASITES... "... The world doesn't owe anybody a living. We all are "ENTITLED" to exactly what we earn for ourselves...not a penny more.

I remember watching that and it's still funny as hell, but to the topic at hand.
I don't know what the hell happened to Scat. I've talked to him on the phone a couple of times years back. Computer issues. Always seemed like a nice guy, very knowledgeable and gracious...and then went off the deep end. Put me on ignore after I said Glen Beck was a radical.
Scat and I are about the same age I'd guess, and both Vietnam Vet's, if he is fact a Vet. I don't know that for sure. I'd guess he has been considerably more successful than me as well, but all that doesn't explain such a dramatic change. I'd like to think it all an act, but...

You're taking my post somewhat out of context. What we have is an internet message board with people of whom I've never met in real life, therefore I'm not certain that anyone here is who they claim to be. All I know is a few years back Scats internet persona made a quite dramatic change, for the worse IMO. Who knows why are what the circumstances are. There are more serious things to debate than this one persons mental state.

I read that answer as you tend to agree with my concern that the man who believes Infowars may be living in a mostly fabricated fantasy and likely has gone as far as inventing Vietnam service. you noted a concern in that post for a reason. the conservative side here have too many fake and crazy people for debating 'serious things'. Last night T Justice after being challenged again on his bullcrap saying he was not jem announced he was not posting any more.
