People generally exist in very narrow bandwidths of experience. Europeans are by default exposed to a wider set of ideologies. That doesn't mean they're smarter about anything, just more BS to bandy about at the dinner table and salons. Peoples lives, the degree of suppression they exist in,are controlled by govts. Govts are controlled by power.

Every single one of those books is great and is a small fraction of a classics education. Imo, all of those books should be read in high school.
Instead, we have kids see how much they remember and test them by filling little round circles.
I've read #2, 3, 5, 7 & 9. At least two, #5 & 7, were required, but not sure about the rest.
Agree, ,it's a shame. Producing a bunch of parrots isn't going to move us forward.
