Somewhat unrelated, but, if you talk to people in other countries that also suffered greatly during WWII, like Greece, the rest of the Balcans, Russia, etc, you don't hear anything like "The Nazis did it" but "the Germans did it."

Who are the Nazis? Some kind of fictitious alien tribe that descended upon the planet and then vanished? Who created and supported the party, and then rallied behind that bloody flag? Who's responsible for those atrocities?

See how smartly and sheepishly we're all rewriting history now that we get along, even need the Germans...

But if he did read the speech, and he knew what he was reading, then maybe he's got brain damage. But if he did read the speech, and he knew what he was reading, and he doesn't have brain damage, then he must be evil. But if he did read the speech, and he knew what he was reading, and he doesn't have brain damage, and he's not evil, then there must be something else to explain it, something more sinister yet.

Truth is that when he reads his speeches sort of competently, the media call him the greatest orator of our lifetime. When he reads and screws up, like now, they say it's the writer's fault. What's wrong with this picture?

True... the Wehrmacht and the SS were made up by Germans... ...LOL... Yeah... Hitler was pretty popular. Plenty of history films with Germans waving flags while having tears in their eyes...!
