Those types of ploys may work ok with the sissy dogs in your neighborhood, but these animals can go after you no matter how large you appear to them.

those rally race vids brought back memories. Americans are sooooo safety conscious. I was shocked to see how Russians and South Americans and people from everywhere but the US of A would stand at the outside of the turns to cheer their fav drivers.
 
Well yesterday I had a close encounter with 2 pit bulls that was maybe dangerous. I was walking around a house I had just roofed with the owner, an older lady in her late 60's. I am doing some exterior work also on the siding and she wanted to check the back of the house for damage. The renters had two pits in the back that acted mean every time I'd been by the house. The old lady said the owners told her the dogs were nice and went in the back gate. I had to go with her, she wouldn't of had a chance if the dogs would of gotten hold of her. We walked in the yard and didn't see any dogs at first, well they were between the house and fence on the opposite side that we came in on. When they saw us they charged barking and growling and the big brown dog would try to get behind me and when I turned with him, he would lunge but did not touch me. I had my knife in my hand the whole time. As we walked out of the yard the brown dog tried to get behind me again and again I turned with him. Funny thing is the old lady didn't even look at the dogs and they ignored her. And yes Lucrum I raised my arms and it pissed the dogs off, but so did everything else. My knife had been a little dull from work and tonight I'm putting on a keen edge again.
