Poles

You can read right? From that site....... the idea is reduce CO2 emissions, which are causing the warming. You do understand how greenhouse gasses work right?

Revenue-neutral means that government retains little if any of the tax revenues raised by taxing carbon emissions. The vast majority of the revenues are returned to the public; with, perhaps, small amounts utilized to assist communities dependent on fossil-fuel extraction and processing to adapt and convert to low- or non-carbon economies.

No, I don't understand co2, but I do understand taxes. The public already has the tax revenue before the government ever gets it. So what is the point of taxing and then returning the "vast majority" of the revenue back to the people who already had it in the first place? You haven't sold me yet and your rants and raves and insults and online IQ tests don't do anything for your co2 public image. If you are any representation of the global warming crowd, so far all I can deduce is they must all be crazy.

The point is to give alternative sources of energy an even playing field. We are not currently paying the true cost for fossil fuels. There is a hidden cost in the form of climate change expenses that we are asking the future generations to pay. So like many things that are harmful to society are taxed, so should CO2 emissions be.

And excuse me for losing patience with you but frankly it almost seems like you are trying to be obtuse. You certainly have no grasp of the issues here other than right wing talking points.

What specifically are the "climate change expenses" you want to pay for now in the form of Carbon Tax revenues?

I have no formed opinion on climate change or global warming. Both sides always convince me when I listen. It's the solutions which sound a little screwy to me. I already pay vice taxes and I don't like them. Especially since I am healthy. Same with carbon, I use as little as possible because I don't like to waste. I never see the activists living as energy conservative as I do. Something always doesn't smell right about this whole argument to me. Especially when republicans automatically take one side and democrats the other (with a few exceptions, which make it even more confusing.)

That's it? if it's all about a tax that explains why the democrats are for it and the republicans are against it. Too easy, I thought it had something to do with science.
Correct. Climate Change claims are a hoax designed to confiscate power, money and guilt from society's producers

Climate Change is THE home now of the left.

Poles are increasing in size. Glacial period is in the offing. Enjoy your time here while you can. The next glacial period is hundreds and possibly many thousand years away. In the meantime, I am hopeful of getting increased warmth for my comfort and yours.

What are the costs of the ongoing and upcoming man caused climate change?

U.S. regional effects
Below are some of the impacts that are currently visible throughout the U.S. and will continue to affect these regions, according to the Third National Climate Assessment Report2, released by the U.S. Global Change Research Program:

Northeast. Heat waves, heavy downpours and sea level rise pose growing challenges to many aspects of life in the Northeast. Infrastructure, agriculture, fisheries and ecosystems will be increasingly compromised. Many states and cities are beginning to incorporate climate change into their planning.

Northwest. Changes in the timing of streamflow reduce water supplies for competing demands. Sea level rise, erosion, inundation, risks to infrastructure and increasing ocean acidity pose major threats. Increasing wildfire, insect outbreaks and tree diseases are causing widespread tree die-off.

Southeast. Sea level rise poses widespread and continuing threats to the region’s economy and environment. Extreme heat will affect health, energy, agriculture and more. Decreased water availability will have economic and environmental impacts.

Midwest. Extreme heat, heavy downpours and flooding will affect infrastructure, health, agriculture, forestry, transportation, air and water quality, and more. Climate change will also exacerbate a range of risks to the Great Lakes.

Southwest. Increased heat, drought and insect outbreaks, all linked to climate change, have increased wildfires. Declining water supplies, reduced agricultural yields, health impacts in cities due to heat, and flooding and erosion in coastal areas are additional concerns.

These will only become worse, and how bad they become is up to what we do now. It's pay a little now or much more later. It's actually a very practical matter, usually something that conservatives are good at addressing.
