Poland Traders

hahaa, very true!
but the country is beautiful, and safe....good for retirement.
plus swiss wages are the highest in the world (if you ever happen to quit trading of course :)

yeah, but cost of living is sky high too, no?

guys can you help me out here - i arrived in krakow, still looking for a flat but i already want to figure out how the internet thing works.. which ISP do you guys recommend? obviously it must be reliable enough for trading, and preferably no download capacity limits, fair speed, not expensive..

how about www.chello.pl , is it any good? any other recommendations? please post or PM.. thanks a lot for your help!

hi guys i need your advice - i rented a flat in the center of krakow (ul. Berka Joselewicza, it crosses Starowislna parallel to Dietla) and it has no cable access (UPC doesn't agree to connect a cable there). i know i can use neostrada but they are expensive, have download limits etc., so i would like to consider other options.

1. are you aware of other companies that may be willing to connect the house to cables?

2. what is your opinion about the wireless internet offered by airbites.net.pl ? have you heard of it? most importantly, is it reliable for trading?

3. have you heard of the radio internet offered by ghnet.pl ? is it any good for trading?

4. any other ideas?

thanks a lot for any help!

I had chello some time ago, and it was quite good.
I would not try too much exotics here, better stay with large companies.

unfortunately upc won't connect the house to cables, a problem that exists for many houses in krakow's central area..

Yeah, it is very common in Warsaw as well. I would need to ask my PC people about alternatives. I use neostrada, and it is quite reliable.

Do you daytrade ?

yes, assume a connection that needs to be reliable for intraday scalping. no unusual latencies, disconnections, etc.

thanks

Let me ask you something: are you familiar with Eastern Europe ?

I mean standards, and all ?

How long you`ve been in Poland ?

Sorry, if I ask too many questions but I need to know whether we can establish the same perspective.

i've traveled most of what is called 'eastern europe' and stayed in poland for about 1 year in total, however i have yet to familiarize myself with the home internet market.
