PointDirex Announces New Commissions!!!

BTW hans, for the record do you work for PointDirex?

BSAM

I trade via remotely with Pointdirex. I am hoping for them to open a office in NY. I have told them that. I would like to get more trader interaction instead of trading from home.
I used to trade at Broadway with the watcher but the commissions were too much for me. I want to have more interaction with traders who trade PD software so we can discuss software features, trading styles, and make recommendations for enhancements for better trading. They are very good at listening for traders feedback and improving their product to the benefit of the trader. I have had made some recomendations to them and they added those features in their 5.3 product line.

Fourth these guys mark up their ECN fees.

Yeah they sure do, this system sounds like a rip off to me.
Its probably a rediplus knock off.. , Fortunately, rates are coming down, and there are some real deals starting to pop up out there

Yep, some of their ECN fees are pretty high. I use ISLD as much as I can. There's no rebate though but I figure they have to make a profit somewhere and that's okay with me as long as I can get a decent price per share.

I've never used rediplus but I've seen it at Bright offices and PD doesn't really look like that. I've heard it's similar to Watcher but I've never used Watcher. It's working for me...fast, some cool features.

Are the "real deals popping up" that you mentioned for remote retail? That's what I'm always interested in and so far it's limited in what's available. IB is close in price and Tradestation sort of is too. Echo is better now with the recent drop of ECN fees and I suppose they give the ISLD rebate but I'd prefer not to get licensed.

.....I trade the qqq's with them. I get charged base plus ecn. So for isld, trading the qqq' cost me $7.5 per 1000 shares. you dont get charged an additional .005 for listed unless you use NYSE + Direct.
if you use nyse direct that your cost would be $10 per thoudand. And if you trade big lots then your max is 11.99 and just get charged 2.5 for isld cost.

Are you sure they offer access to NYSE Direct +, last time I spoke to them they did not?

I dont know about them being a rip off!! They have the best commissions around along with great customer service and awesome trading platform with great executions. I dont know any firm here that has as much direct-access and features and with such low commission. If you trade on SOES with PD, your commissions come out to less than 1.0 cents/share. With ISLD, less than 1.0 cents/share. Wth INCA less than 1.2 cents per share.

There is no one else that has better commissions with such a diverse range of products anywhere and customer service.

If I am wrong please let me know, i am open to discussion.

On the retail front: IB has better commissions and range of products.
