Panera set to hit $1B in digital sales by the end of 2017
Digital ordering ispaying offfor Panera Bread. The soup and sandwich chain is slated to pass $1 billion in annualized digital sales this year, and expects to double that by 2019, the company saidWednesday. Yeah, no crap. Saw a report recently that consumers spend more per order at Panera than any other "fast food" venue. It's the "new thing" I guess. The younger crowds are willing to spend more money on progressive "PC" foodstuffs.
