I bought some MO for my IRA today; already owned PM.
I have been a big fan of tobacco stocks for years, and always bought on big dips, since I noticed long ago that:
a) There seems to be no limit to how much smokers are willing to pay, so the cig companies have enormous pricing power;
b) The government will never seriously crack down on the cig sales; not as long as the gov keeps receiving the huge taxes on cig sales.

That's a sweet buy. I wish I'd picked up PM on the dip today, I already have very substantial MO holdings, but did pick up more shares at 67 today.

True enough. Big, boring stocks with big, boring dividends, reinvested in big, boring tax strategies. That's why I goto the STHH. And many other happy hours. To spend my big, boring dividends

(well, not really since they're all reinvested)

I'm sure everything is going well at the shack. I would say that we all miss him, but he's around us in spirit I'm pretty sure.

I miss surf. My early time here was near his end and I never got to interact with him much. I'd like to think he finally hit that trade and retired...
