I forget the name of the fund.....it was still pretty small for a hedge fund (30 mill isn't that big).
Yeah I just remember his pitch book and he was telling about these competitions he won. I looked him up on line and the guy was full of shit. He claimed he was ranked as a trader and wasn't all kinds of shit. Whenever I would ask him about seeing an audited track record he would get all upset.....real defensive.
Like I said he was young. I worked in the securities industries for a while...as a broker but always wanted to be a trader and still do. I just remember it was so unbelievably regulated.....and thinking to myself this guy is going to get FUCKED if he's not on the up and up. I mean there can be no white lies at all.

Sometimes I wonder... what if the manager who lost 99% didn't trade at all, but kept the 99% money for himself? Nobody would think it's a Ponzi scheme.
Ok, this shit is getting better and better. These are other posts from you, Lasner. In Feb 06, you claimed to be a CTA with a 6 yrs trading experience. The year before you had turned 10K into 20K (lol) mainly thru writing options, yet three weeks before, on 01/25/06 you confess you've been losing your ass at options because you're a newbie. What's wrong with this picture?

No that 's true....I had a small side business as a Trading advisor.....basically had a subscription service. I made some decent profits writing naked options but was still new to it....some positons I took for a loss
A CTA running a Subscription Service who starts numerous threads asking for trading advice because he is a newb and he's losing his ass. :eek: There is FRAUD written all over your posts.
But then again, what was the original post about? Oh yeah, Lasner knows a friend who lied to his investors and whose hedge fund went bankrupt...
You'd better start doing some pull ups on the monkey bars because chances are you're going to do some time lasny and that's not gonna be a walk in the park.
