I often see a stock in after hours dropped tremendously but when I look at the time and sales it says only 1 share was sold .. What does that mean ? Im shorting a stock called MAMA at 4.24 and it has dropped to 4.04. But when I checked on time and sales it was only 1 share sold at that price.. So what does that mean and why does this happen so often? Thank you for any help and no im not looking for insider information...

After hours, simply don't look at the market.
The volume is going to be low.
Let the professional writers look at the after-hours.
Don't end up suffering from data analysis paralysis.
After hours, Go look at other things.

You might see a big drop after hours because batches of dark pool trades are processed and made public after market close. They hit the open markets in weird ways.
Ask your broker.
What was the print before and after - if any?
After-hours is limit only market so the prints around it could tell much of the story.
Dark liquidity doesn't print on an exchange. It prints to the TRF.
Dark prints during RTH have a time limit to report and nobody would give up the tape revenue.
After-hours can be terribly illiquid and have significant gaps.
A 5% move in after-hours is not uncommon for a $4 stock.
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

What broker are you on? Maybe someone can check if they get the same data
That’s my point… sometimes it looks weird during hours when the market is closed. There’s something else going on.
