As for devils advocate, maybe, he did go. Maybe .01% of his portfolio winnings were enough to cover that 3 days journey.
But ,,Taking my market winnings" sounds like, everything.
I think that the deal was, - being up that much (each one has his own amount of what is a lot), is almost as ,,bad" as being down a lot. Some people just can't handle. Especially when loosing is 2x more painful than making it, while here he has $$$'s laying on the table, asking for withdraw.
 
Pretty safe to say, judging from his past posts, that this is not the case. This guy is a bloody beginner. If at all he leveraged the shit out of his 5k account and made 3 grand.
