Please explain this move to me

I was short EXPR when suddenly it just tanked . Obviously this is fantastic for me but I am curious as to why it did that. EXPR was up on no news. Its a wallstreetbets darling or somewhat. But why does a stock just suddenly tank like this without anything? Screenshot_2.png
 
It's a flippant answer but it's true. More sellers than buyers and without a credible hard news source you won't find out for some time if at all.

I mean, if OP thinks about it, how often has he fat fingered a trade, had to liquidate a position to pay taxes or bills around the house or cover margin for another trade.

Those reasons don't necessarily add to the macro picture of the stock...especially not in a POS stock that pumped and dumped a couple of days ago
 
Run up based on charting, as price going higher, traders taking profit on declining volume, made double top, then triple top on increased volume, selling the top be very cheap risk, once ball start dropping and absence of buyers, causes much slippage and nice profit if short.
 
Also look at how long the run up was, profit taking. Also the volume x price does not represent much money. So it is easy to push around. Could be a lot of stops set also.

There is an old saying, which is only partially true, "once you see a trend, you can expect it to break". Lot of other variables, but what would you do if you rode it up and it started tanking?
