Platform for trading US indexes a few times a week

For a trader making a handfull of round-trips a week with an account size of $15,000, what broker and trading solution/tools would you recommend?

Mostly focusing on S&P500, NDX and sometimes a couple of stocks. Also, if it matters, I am a European trading from Europe.
