What I've understood from the experts on this is that when you juice you are taking out the insoluble fiber and drinking the remainder which contains of course the soluble fiber but the full fiber is what keeps the Insulin at bay. Is this concept correct?
From my understanding, fiber helps manage blood glucose and may help increase insulin sensitivity. However, blood glucose and blood insulin are two different animals, and fiber doesn't prevent the release of insulin. And you can't keep and eye on insulin levels like you can with blood glucose because determining insulin levels requires a blood test.
I stopped juicing twenty years ago due to the high sugar content. I only juice lemons now, along with the rind, because they are supposed to be beneficial to the liver and kidneys. And I don't really juice them, either, I use a high power blender.
So I agree with @ph1l, consuming whole foods is much better than juicing. But if you have to juice, I would only juice greens.
