Pivotal Debate For Republicans Tonight

“The spectacle made me ill,” writes the conservative Free Beacon’s Matthew Continetti. “On screen I watched decades of work by conservative institutions, activists, and elected officials being lit aflame not only by the New York demagogue but by his enablers who waited until the last possible moment to try and stop him.”

I'm not sure traditional limited government conservatism is possible in this day and age, but what planet is this guy living on with the "decades of work" comment? They have given ground on every single front to liberals, with profits for their wealthy backers the only thing to show for it.

its odd you keep implying the democrats are the good guys. they are both owned by the same groups.

the democrats have been owned by the rentier class for a while now. the republicans were owned by the manufacturers and oil... when the manufacturers left the country to varying degrees the bankers got to own both parties.

That's the decades of work he's referring to. Everyone knows the rep party represents the rentier class.

oh you found the donald trump like exception perhaps... good for you.

keep bullshitting about a party which pretends to care about unions and the working class and brings in millions of illegals to suppress wages

keep cheerleading for a team who promised single payer and delivered insurance company scam care.

So that's where most of, say, Bernie Sanders's campaign contributions are coming from, plutocrats?

pointing out hypocrisy is the ultimate drag. We expect that from democrats who can't defend anything and only reply is, "Well, well,...um....republicans are just as bad."

If you both agree both sides are bad, why can't you get together and agree on something that you both agree is good?

exactly...
We should find a way to cut the size of govt... thereby making room to eliminate income taxes and at the same time provide for a single payer / hybrid model insurance option.
Maybe a voucher system for catastrophic care which insurance companies compete for and then they can offer premium plans on top of that for more money.

Govt does not have to suck.
